You were there! I am always amused when bloggers are in the centre of natural disasters. In 2004 I was reading the blog of a Japanese school teacher who took christmas holidays in thailand, and escaped the tsunami.
i'd hardly call it a natural disaster. i don't think anybody died. And 50 million other people lived through it, so while your praises for my surviving are appreciated, i feel i must share the honor with my 49,999,999 fellow denizens of the north-eastern USA.
What were we supposed to understand about each other in ten minutes?
What can two people understand about each other in ten minutes?
Come to think of it, she seemed awfully sure about those ten minutes:
it was the first thing out of her mouth. As if nine minutes would be too
short or eleven minutes too long. Like cooking spaghetti al dente.
